Q:Athlon or Turion for new HP laptop? Hey I am configuring the new HP dv3z notebook on the website and I am stuck on which processor to choose. The first one is the AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 64 for notebooks (QL-62) that runs on 2.0 GHz and (according to the website) 25 W. The next one (50 bucks more) is AMD Turion X2 Dual Core 64 (RM-72) that runs on 2.1 GHz and 35 W. And finally (100 bucks more than Athlon) is the AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual Core 64 (ZM-80) that runs on 2.1 GHz and 32 W. I am not a heavy gamer and would primarily use my computer for word processing, email, internet surfing, youtubing, and maybe movies from time to time.So Im wondering... which is better!!

A:for you the ql-62. (2.0 Ghz, 25W)You will get a lot better battery life with a minimum of difference in speed.Its simply not worth the extra cash for a mere 100Mhz speed boost. By Y! User: americanmacbrian
