Q:How do I change a range hood light bulb? I have an old Whirlpool electric range and the light is out in the hood over the range. How do I get to it to change it?

A:Get your flashlight out and inspect the underside of the hood. There should be a panel that the light is behind. Youll either see screws to take the panel off or some type of clips that turn 90 degrees so that the panel drops out. If you dont see any screws or clips, try pushing one of the corners of the panel up. If the panel goes up enough on the corner, you should be able to slide the panel in the direction you lifted and cock the other end down and out. Its like removing and replacing a ceiling tile. If that doesnt work, Id call an appliance dealer that carries that type of stove or a comparable model and ask them. By Y! User: Jordo the HVAC guy
