Q:how can I install GE GE(GE SBSD227FWW)brand pedestals on my Frigidaire affinity washer and dryer? I bought pedestals from ebay for a whole hell of a lot cheaper than I could anywhere else! The sizes are all the same (except for the depth.) I figured I could use these. Only thing is...the bolt patterns dont match up and the bolts for the affinity seems to be a lot bigger than the bolt holes for the GE. Any suggestions on how I can make this work for the washer and the dryer? Most importantly the washer(dontnt wanna screw up on that!)

A:Hello, unfortunately Frigidaire pedestals are made for their machines, and GE for theirs. You are right you wouldnt want to change anything on the machines. And any modifications you make on the pedestals to make them fit, (drilling new holes and so on) if one has the drawer of coarse you would have to make sure that the bolts that you use to attach them dont interfere. The fact that the depth is not the same, kind of scares me. But whatever you come up with it will have to be secure enough not to compromise the stability. Because the correct pedestals for the Frigidaire washer is touchy as far as stability goes anyway.Good luck By Y! User: GENE F
