Green Bean Puree Recipes by blender
1½ lbs. (700 g) fresh (or frozen) green beans
1 cup (250 ml) water
Cook beans in boiling water (or steam them) until tender. Put half the beans in blender with 1/3 cup of cooking water. Puree.
Repeat the process with the remaining beans. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Makes 2 trays of cubes.
Prune and Apple Puree Recipes
1½ cups (375 ml) pitted prunes
2 cups (500 ml) apples
2 cups (500 ml) hot water
1½ cups (375 ml) cold water
Soak prunes in hot water 10 -15 minutes. Drain. Put prunes and apples into saucepan together with cold water. Bring to a boil,
then simmer for 20 minutes. Pour half the mixture into the blender with about ½ cup(125 ml) of the cooking water. Puree. Repeat
the process with the remaining mixture.Pour into ice cube trays and freeze.Makes 2 trays of cubes.
Squash and Apple Puree Recipe
1½ cups (375 ml) fresh squash cut into small pieces
3 or 4 apples (peeled, cored and sliced)
1 cup (250 ml) water
Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add apples and squash, and simmer until tender. Cool a little. Put half the cooled
mixture of squash and apples into the blender with 1/3 (85 ml) of the cooking water. Puree. Repeat the process with
remaining mixture. Pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Makes 2 trays of cubes.
