Ive called a local repair shop and asked if they knew who the original manufacturer was but they didnt have any idea.Montgomery Ward as moved completely out of the US and couldnt give me any advise.Ive yet to find anything on eBay or any searches Ive done so far.If I could just come up with the manufacturer maybe Id have a clue where to look.

A:I used to work at their HQ in Chicago. They have closed. They did not move. And www.wards.com is just a company that bought the name. They wouldnt have a clue. There were probably more than one manufacturers that made microwaves for MW. You can try giving Admiral and Sharp a call. Make sure you talk to someone who has been with the company at least in 2000 or earlier. If they didnt make microwaves for MW, they might know who did...since its their job. Or they might even know by the serial number/manufacturer number. Also, GE was a financial backer, it is possible they made microwaves for Wards--but I think it is slim. At the end, there would be lightbulbs that would go out, and wed laugh that GE couldnt even get us a deal on bulbs! Try these two sites: http://www.gallawa.com/microtech/mfg.html http://www.repairclinic.com Both sites seem to know how to get parts for the MW microwaves. If desperate....maybe a veteran buyer at Sears corporate might know. They probably deal with the same vendors, and it is their job to know things like that. Or maybe an Ex-Wards employee now works there. When Wards closed, many employees went to Sears. Its Hofmann Estates, IL. Good Luck! By Y! User: crazymom
