Q:What washing machine has the best cycle time? We are looking for a new washing machine for in our house. We do a lot of washing so the 40 degree cycle time needs to be quick. Can any recommend some A energy rated freestanding washing machines. (Not combined with a dryer either) Thanks! :D

A:If you are just looking to shorten the wash cycle, try using the gentle cycle, it is usually an 8 minute wash. Any washing machine should have one. If you want energy efficient, you want a machine with the highest energy star rating (in USA). They change regularly when new models become available. Go to an appliance store in your area and look at some different machines. By Y! User: Laura N
